Position: Heavy Diesel Technician – Crane Focus
Location: Perth
Employment Type: [CONTRACT / POTENTIAL PERM]
Rate: $65-70/hr
 
Overview:
 
We’re seeking a qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Technician with strong expertise in engine and driveline systems, specifically suited to mobile crane service and repair.

The ideal candidate will come from a heavy vehicle, plant, or crane maintenance background, with hands-on experience working on diesel-powered, mobile lifting equipment.
 
Key Requirements:

• Proven experience with heavy diesel engines, transmissions, and driveline systems
• Prior work on mobile cranes, heavy plant, trucks, or similar machinery
• Relevant trade qualification (e.g. Heavy Diesel Mechanic Certificate III or IV)
• Working from heights certification(s)
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and repair capabilities
• Ability to work autonomously and in field service environments

Desirable:

• Crane industry exposure (especially brands similar to those sold/repaired by the client)
• Experience working in OEM or authorised service environments
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems and load-bearing equipment
