Job description

Our client is the leading transport agency in New South Wales and they are currently seeking a GIS analyst for Property Information & Management System for an initial 6 month contract.

The role is responsible for updating and maintaining the Property Information & Management System (PIMS) textual and geospatial databases to ensure that they accurately reflect the current land parcel configuration and land title status of the Agency’s property portfolio.

Key accountabilities
  • Oversee the administration of Transport for NSW’s (TfNSW) Property Information Management & Geospatial Information System (PIMGIS), and provide specialist geospatial expertise for all property business users, including supporting and encouraging best practice and use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications in the diverse property business operations.
  • Update and maintain both geospatial and textual information to ensure that the TfNSW’s property holding throughout the State can be created and/or managed correctly by utilising the PIMS graphics and textual databases.
  • Provide advice in the use of the PIMS geospatial system to ensure efficient and timely property management.
  • Provide support to the Help Desk to ensure user problems can be resolved by officers with suitable property system expertise.
  • Assist the PIMS Graphics Administrator in development, build and delivery of training, procedures and documentation on the enhancements and changes to PIMGIS, to improve the efficiency and capability of property users throughout the State.
  • Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning.
  • Research, analyse, collate and provide reports to the Executive to support informed decision-making and planning.

Essential requirements
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience.
