Job description
Fire Safety Engineering SME required to work on iconic rail / tunnelling projects in Sydney.
Scope of engagement:
Act as an SME for all Fire Life Safety Engineering related matters.
The successful candidate will also use their Project Management experience to support various projects and to deliver several key strategic initiatives.

The successful candidate will also use their Project Management experience to support various projects and to deliver several key strategic initiatives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of Underground Fire and Life Safety policy, framework and supporting strategy
- Support the development of the future program for the strategic selection and development of location specific Fire and Life Safety assessments
- Provide technical support to the development of contemporary Fire and Life Safety engineering advice and guidance
Capabilities:
- Conduct holistic fire risk assessment of assets and identify suitable remedial actions, including experience with QRA’s
- Support Production of asset specific Fire Life Safety Strategies including SFAIRP determination
- Support development and review of various Feasibility Design Report, Scoping Design Report, Definition Design Reports, and Reference Design Reports etc
- Conduct reviews of produced Fire Engineering Briefs (FEB’s), Fire Engineering Reports (FER’s) and Fire Engineering Inspection reports
- Possess Effective Stakeholder management skills
- Possess Strong technical Fire Safety Engineering Skills
Essential Requirements:
- Rail Industry Experience in Fire Safety Engineering
Preferred Requirements:
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) in the field of Fire Safety Engineering
- C10 accreditation
