The Opportunity – Intermediate Estimator

 Excellent opportunity for an Intermediate Estimator to join the team in their Canberra offices. Brilliant, forward-thinking business.
 
The Company

• Working with a suave refurb & fit out contractor in Canberra
• Impressive portfolio of projects 
• High profile clients such as; Knight Frank, Ikea, Blackmores & Sixt
• Project value sweet spot $800-$5m
• Could be looking at 3-5 tenders at one time
• Use Cubit and Procore

Duties

• Calculating how much a proposed project will cost
• Researching prices and collecting quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitoring inflation and exchange rates
• Checking the client’s requirements
• Drawing up bids for work
• Keeping an eye on projects to make sure costs stay in line with forecasts
• Drawing up detailed and accurate price lists for everything needed on a construction project
• Considering risk assessments and health and safety requirements   

Skills and Experience

• 2 years + as an Estimator
• Experience with a fit out contractor is advantageous 
• Experience with similar size projects
• Experience using CUBIT and PROCORE will be advantageous
• Stability with previous employers
• A positive attitude
