Estimator - Retail Fitouts / High-End Shopfitting

Salary: $100k to $130k + Super (Depending on Experience)
 
About the Role
An experienced Estimator is sought to support a well-established shopfitting contractor delivering high-end retail projects across Australia and New Zealand.
Based in Sydney's Upper North Shore. this role involves the accurate and efficient estimation of interior fitouts, from initial pricing through to submission of detailed tenders and support during project handover.
The position would suit someone with a background in shopfitting, commercial joinery, or interior construction who is looking to join a skilled and collaborative team with in-house manufacturing capabilities and a strong project pipeline.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and quotations
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
• Build and maintain a network of reliable trade contacts
• Work closely with internal design, production, and project teams
• Monitor and document variations and project costs
• Assist with handover to project managers post-award
• Maintain cost libraries, unit rates, and estimating templates

 
About You

• Experience as an Estimator within fitout, joinery, or construction
• Strong understanding of interior fitout processes and materials
• Proficient in estimating software (Buildsoft, Excel, or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent time management and communication abilities
• Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications are advantageous
  (e.g. Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Joinery / Carpentry)
