Contract Estimator – Government & Health Projects (ASAP Start)

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team on a short-term contract (up to 3 months), working on a range of government and health sector projects. This is an immediate opportunity for a seasoned professional who can hit the ground running and add value from day one.
About the Role: As the Estimator, you will work closely with our pre-construction and project delivery teams, providing accurate and timely cost estimates, take-offs, and tender submissions for mid-tier building projects within the public sector.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and coordinate estimates and tender submissions for government and health construction projects
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost planning
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing
• Review and analyse project plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Contribute to value engineering and risk analysis processes
• Ensure estimates are completed on time and within scope

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience as an Estimator with a mid-tier builder
• Proven background in government and health sector projects
• Strong knowledge of Australian construction standards and procurement processes
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g. CostX, Buildsoft, or similar)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
