Contracts Manager | $30ml project | M&E Installation

CGC Recruitment are established experts in providing short term construction and engineering resources to main tier and mid-tier contractors and have again been approached by one of our clients to source an experienced Contract Manager to work on a consulting basis for the next 6 months. 
 
The project is a $30ml M&E Installation scope and as Contracts Manager you will have x3 direct reports (x1 Project Admin x2 CAs). Your responsibilities will include; 

• Managing head contract variations and scope changes
• Analyzing and quantifying delay and variation claims
• Head contract progress claim preparation, submission and liaison with Client
• Assessing Subcontractors’ progress claims and variations submissions
• Preparing complex Extension of Time claims and assessment of similar type claims
• Preparing Project Reports


The role is a Brisbane based position working on an interstate so offers a hybrid working arrangement (office, WFH) is site travel expected once per month. The role is an initial 6 month contract until the end of the year but could be scope for extension based on project demands.
 
We are looking to speak to Commercial professionals with the following experience:
 
- 10 years post graduate experience
- Prior Contracts/Commercial Management experience for a Tier 1 Contractor 
-  Must posses experience working on projects $10-50ml (not just mega jobs)
- Driven and self motivated 
- Proven ability to mentor junior staff and be a team player
