You will be joining a medium size construction firm that has been operating in the Australian market for over 60 years. You will be given the opportunity to Project Manage your own smaller projects on the insurance side whilst also getting the chance to work on the major construction side which completes projects valued to 50M.
  
The Position

This position will support the Project Manager whilst overseeing and managing their own projects in a Junior PM position. Due to the large storms recently this builder has signed several cost plus contracts with clients to repair schools, shopping centres and warehouses.

Working on cost plus projects is slightly different from hard dollar, you work in harmony with the subbies to deliver the works not having the same tight financial constraints. You will still gain experience managing client stakeholders whilst liaising with insurers and loss adjusters and use high level systems and processes to deliver the works

You will be rewarded with a salary between 130K – 150K depending on level of experience.

Ideal background / skills
  • Construction Management degree and experience working in commercial construction
  • Have strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Have the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Highly developed IT skills and knowledge of construction IT software
  • Valid drivers lic
