Commercial Manager - Major Infrastructure Project (12‑Month Fixed Term)
Location: Perth Metro (office‑based, flexible)
Salary: $220,000-$300,000 + super
Contract Type: Full‑time, Fixed Term

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead all commercial and contract‑management aspects of a significant marine‑terminal upgrade project. This role offers the chance to work on a high‑value, large‑scale infrastructure project that blends complexity, scale and long‑term impact.
As Commercial Manager, you will take full responsibility for budgeting, contract administration, procurement, cost control, forecasting and cash‑flow analysis — ensuring the project is delivered within agreed financial parameters while managing risk and compliance. You'll work closely with senior leadership and project teams to align commercial strategy with project delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage all commercial functions: contract administration, procurement, cost reporting, forecasting, cash-flow and cost‑control.
- Ensure compliance with relevant construction law, financial and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee subcontractor agreements and variations to protect project margins and mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with project leadership and teams to ensure commercial strategy supports delivery goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes and systems.
- Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' commercial management experience within civil or marine/heavy‑duty construction.
- Strong understanding of Australian construction and contract law, with proven track record managing budgets and commercial risk on major projects.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder‑management and analytical skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high standard of detail and compliance.
