The role: Associate Civil Engineer - Perth
We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Associate Civil Engineer to assist in the growth and development of Civil Engineering division in Perth. This key engineering role will be responsible for planning, managing and successfully delivering engineering projects of a complex nature.
You will also identify, communicate and pursue new opportunities for the Civil Engineering division in Perth, and build your business development skills.

The role: Associate Civil Engineer - Perth
We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Associate Civil Engineer to assist in the growth and development of Civil Engineering division in Perth. This key engineering role will be responsible for planning, managing and successfully delivering engineering projects of a complex nature.
You will also identify, communicate and pursue new opportunities for the Civil Engineering division in Perth, and build your business development skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineers and designers within the civil discipline. You will also provide technical guidance, feedback and support to the team members, and conduct performance reviews, training needs analysis and career development plans for them.
- Carrying out and managing detailed designs for all types of projects and all aspects of projects ensuring that designs are innovative, prepared to a high standard and in accordance with the needs and expectations of the client.
- Managing and resolving project issues, and consider construction costings and practices in the design process
- Gain an understanding of the business and strategic direction of the business and develop, grow and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with 10+ years of demonstrated design experience
- Chartered member (CPEng) of Institute of Engineers Australia
- Ability to think and solve problems and to critically assess and review designs by others
- Experience in production of detailed engineering drawings commensurate with level of duties
- A knowledge of construction methods and their impact on design
- An understanding of design and commercial risk with good contract management experience
- Experience in liaising with project managers and architects effectively
- Proven Business development skills - MUST
