Purpose of role
The Senior Fire Service Technician is a pivotal member of the NSW Fire Team linking all aspects of service level agreements with servicing and programming of fire systems. The key function of the role is to deliver programming, commissioning, diagnostics, repairs and upgrades of all fire systems and equipment.

Purpose of role
The Senior Fire Service Technician is a pivotal member of the NSW Fire Team linking all aspects of service level agreements with servicing and programming of fire systems. The key function of the role is to deliver programming, commissioning, diagnostics, repairs and upgrades of all fire systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Complex programming and commissioning of FIP, EWIS and Vesda systems
- Respond as nominated to service calls within customer SLA timeframes
- Accurately diagnose fire system failures and rectify these items as approved by client and business
- Deliver all works efficiently and within budget
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with all internal and external stake holders, including but not limited to clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal team members
- Establish priorities and meet deadlines autonomously
- Ensuring the appropriate and timely use of hand held technology
- Attend to on call duties as per established roster
- Maintaining industry knowledge and keeping self-updated with changes
- Driving commitment to the highest standards of business code of conduct, aligned with expectations of ethical behaviour according to Company values
- Complying with Company and client Welfare, Health & Safety and Environment policies and procedures
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- High level of technical aptitude
- Open Cabling licence
- EAHL licence
- Working knowledge of AS 1670, AS1668
- Willingness to learn
- Collaborative style
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Blue / white card preferred
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
