CGC have partnered with a long standing client who are a leading Civil subcontractor with projects up to $8ml+ Nationally across Australia. They deliver complex infrastructure projects in the civil construction industry such as concrete works, storm water, drainage and detailed earthworks.  

Due to organic growth in their QLD business they have identified the need for a Senior Project Engineer  on a permanent basis to lead the delivery of existing projects and also be a key part of the organisational structure in winning work in Brisbane. Site based activities will involve direct supervision of labour & management of local subcontractors, implementing site safety plans and safe work methods, cost tracing and programming and  preparing progress claims and variations. As Senior Engineer you will also be in charge to leading the site team and mentoring junior engineers to strong leadership skills are required.

The role is a full time position and not just project based so in between projects the position will involve working in head office alongside the GM, Operations Manager and Estimators to assist with pricing works, develop construction methodologies and assist with planning and procurement strategies.

The role will involve working with a team of driven construction professionals who are passionate about civil construction and offer a fast track progression to becoming a Project Manager and lead and deliver major subcontract packages of some of Brisbane most iconic infrastructure projects.

- Civil Engineering degree

- 6 years+ Civil Construction experience  

- Must possess prior experience with a mid tier contractor 

- Tried and tested background delivering civil projects from $500k-$5ml

- Driven and motivated with strong leadership skills  

- A passion for civil contraction is essential
