Senior Project Engineer - Concrete Remedial / Civil

Perth Based | $150K-$170K + Car + Super | Career Path to Senior Leadership & Equity
 
A rapidly growing civil contractor specialising in concrete remediation and civil infrastructure works is expanding its leadership structure and seeking an aspirational Senior Project Engineer to join the business during a key phase of growth. This is a rare opportunity to play a central role in shaping a scaling contractor's future, with a clearly defined pathway into senior management and potential equity participation as part of the company's 2030 growth strategy.
 
Working initially across a $8M-$10M per annum framework with a Tier-1 mining client, the role offers a flexible working structure including WFH, time in the client's Perth office, and occasional FIFO travel to the Pilbara.
This opportunity would suit a high-performing, under-recognised engineer from a main contractor background who is ready to step into a broader leadership role with significant commercial, client-facing, and business growth responsibilities.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage delivery of framework projects valued at approximately $8M-$10M annually
  • Client liaison and attendance at regular coordination meetings
  • Procurement, material ordering, logistics coordination, and plant maintenance scheduling
  • Project QA, reporting, incident reporting, and NCR management
  • Claims preparation, variation tracking, and delay analysis
  • Crew onboarding, roster coordination, and daily supervisor interface
  • Estimating, tender support, and business development involvement to help grow the contractor's market presence
  • Provide occasional remote support to interstate project teams
 
Candidate Requirements
  • Full Australian working rights are essentialno interstate relocators or international candidates will be considered
  • Perth-based candidates only, with willingness to undertake ad-hoc FIFO travel
  • 8+ years' civil construction experience within Australian main contracting environments
  • Strong working knowledge of the WA mining and resources sector
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously across home, office, and site-based environments
  • Excellent communication skills with strong English fluency
  • Ambition and capability to progress into future senior leadership roles
