Senior Project Engineer - Civil and Remediation

CGC Recruitment are in partnership with Australia’s leading environmentally focussed main contractor who specialise in civil, remediation and environmental projects in the defence, mining and resources sectors. Typical projects are valued in the region of $10m - $100m and involve civil construction elements such as bulk / detailed earthworks, piling, excavation, civil infrastructure, soil remediation etc.
 
They are actively seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their Major Projects team in WA. Working closely with the State Manager the successful candidate will be involved in the delivery of large-scale projects throughout Western Australia. This integral role will manage the day-to-day delivery of projects while maintaining strong relationships and ensuring company safety, quality and financial targets are achieved.
 
This is a Perth metro-based role with the initial project being based within a reasonable commute of the metro area. Candidate Criteria:
 
  • A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • 5+ years construction experience specialising in the management of civil, remediation or environmental projects.
  • Contract and budget management experience.
  • Experience working for a main contractor within civil construction (delivery of civil and structural projects).
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with the ability to develop relationships with team members, clients and contractors to ensure excellence in project delivery.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office & Project.
  • High level communication and organisational skills.
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
  • Flexibility to work site hours and a valid driver's licence.
