We are looking for a Senior Operational Policy Officer to join our client, an NSW State government agency, on a contractual basis.

• 6-month contract opportunity with NSW State Government
• Hybrid working engagement. - Offices are based in Mascot
• Earn a day rate of $536.83 - $601.23 per day + super

The primary purpose of the role:
The primary purpose of the role is to undertake research, analysis and stakeholder engagement to develop and implement operational policies and procedures for the Department.

Key Accountabilities:

• Research, analyse and review complex operational policy issues, identify emerging issues, developing evidence-based options, and recommend solutions to resolve problems and mitigate risks.
• Produce well-researched, clear and concise operational policies, procedures, guidelines, fact sheets, and ways of working materials using best practice design principles, to support the Department's operations.
• Monitor and report on operational policy administrative, compliance and industry outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to understand technical processes and considerations in order to write correct, clear and concise operational policies that achieve policy outcomes in line with Department's objectives.
• Project manage policy implementation across operational areas, and review and report on implementation progress.
• Provide expert policy advice and information to relevant stakeholders to facilitate the appropriate interpretation and implementation of operational policies and support NSW Point to Point Transport Commission objectives.

MUST HAVE:

• Eligibility work full-time in Australia 
• Previous experience in a similar role is ESSENTIAL
  Excellent people skills and communication skills
• Must be able to start ASAP and pass a full background check
• MUST BE DOUBLE VACCINATED
