Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Fire & Hydraulic Engineer to take a lead role in our clients Melbourne office. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and providing technical expertise to support the successful delivery of projects.
  
Responsibilities:
  
  • Design Expertise: Develop innovative and efficient fire protection and hydraulic designs for a range of projects, considering local regulations and industry best practices.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure all designs and solutions comply with relevant local, state, and national codes and standards.
  • Client Collaboration: Engage with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical advice, and build strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to integrate fire and hydraulic systems seamlessly into building designs.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with fire and hydraulic engineering aspects of projects.
  • Documentation: Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and drawings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Fire or Hydraulic Engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of local building codes and standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in relevant engineering software.
