The Position:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to work on railway traction power, earthing and bonding and HV substation earthing. You will report to the NSW traction power leader and will form part of the wider energy and rail systems team.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Focus on earthing and bonding strategies, modelling and practical experience working across multiple disciplines
• Apply high level conceptual, planning, analytical and problem solving skills in the development of electrical earthing and bonding design solutions
• Demonstrate earthing and bonding design experience, preferably including knowledge of traction system earthing and stray current mitigation methods
• Embrace being or becoming eminent in the field of earthing and bonding and provide technical leadership and mentoring to other employees
• Enjoy collaborating with clients and all areas of the business to enhance project outcomes
• Develop, maintain and apply a working knowledge of relevant regulatory, engineering legislation, codes of practice and standards associated with earthing, bonding and lightning protection

Requirements:

• Degree or Masters qualified in relevant engineering field
• Ideally chartered or progressing to chartership
• Strong understanding of earthing and bonding
• Railway experience would be ideal, although a utility background will be considered if a strong understanding of earthing and bonding is demonstrated
