Job description

CGC Recruitment are exclusively partnered with Sydney Water as part of their permanent recruitment drive.

They are currently looking to appoint a Safety Advisor to their Operations Team, under the Water Environmental Services Division. The team manages a vast portfolio of Water and Waste Water Treatment plants across the Sydney Water network. This is a permanent role with hybrid working conditions, working between site, office and home- offices are based at Potts Hill.

The Safety Advisor is responsible for the delivery of safety support to Sydney Water businesses. This includes providing expert advice and support in delivering specific business unit strategic objectives, plans, management systems objectives, mitigation of safety risks and hazards, the prevention of
workplace injuries, the prevention of incidents and occurrences, regulatory compliance and the promotion of a safe culture.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of implementing an OHS Management Systems.
  • Understanding of contract safety management.
  • Demonstrated change management ability
  • Experience in Utilities sector.
  • Trade background highly desirable
Qualifications, licences, and certifications
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety or Diploma of Occupational Health & Safety
  • Formal and recognised lead auditor qualifications in safety
  • Formal and recognised qualifications in Safety Investigations
