Safety Advisor
Opportunity to join an exclusive Property Developer and Builder with a proven 25 year track record of building excellence in Queensland.
 
They are currently seeking a Safety Advisor to work on their boutique, high-rise building projects in Brisbane. Typically valued up to $100M.
 
Work with a phenomenal Safety Manager and help build something special. Under expert guidance, you can build a career here and progress up the ranks to manage other Safety Advisors as the company grows.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards
  • Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries
  • Providing training and guidance to workers on safe work practices and procedures
  • Conducting investigations into accidents and incidents and making recommendations for corrective action
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities
  • Liaising with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration on safety matters
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Safety Advisor or Administrator in the building construction industry, with
  • Building construction experience required. Medium to high-rise project experience preferred but not essential
  • Strong knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to identify solutions to complex safety issues
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records
  • Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
