Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards
- Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries
- Providing training and guidance to workers on safe work practices and procedures
- Conducting investigations into accidents and incidents and making recommendations for corrective action
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities
- Liaising with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration on safety matters
- Demonstrated experience working as a Safety Officer in the building construction industry, with
- Medium to high-rise project experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to identify solutions to complex safety issues
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
