The Company:
This highly respected Tier 2 builder who operate all over QLD and parts of NSW, are a leading Australian engineering and construction company with a strong focus on innovation and excellence. The business employs over 500 people and operate in multiple sectors including education, industrial, health, retail and defence. Their projects generally range from $20M to $100M.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in the delivery of major defence projects.
The role – Project Manager (defence projects)
In this role, you will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and control of building projects within the defence sector. You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
The projects the business will be targeting are in the $40M to $70M range, you will need to be capable of delivering projects of this size.
This is a Brisbane based role, but there is an option to be based out of their Toowoomba office if that location is preferred.

Skills and experience:
- Proven experience in delivering building projects within the defence sector
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and best practices
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting
- Experience in managing project risks and issues
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previously worked for a recognised Tier 2 or Tier 1 builder
