CGC Recruitment have partnered with a long standing client nationally who are at the forefront of the infrastructure boom across Australia. This company are a leading Main Tier Contractor who have a currently pipeline of works on the Eastern Seaboard alone in excess of over $1bn. They operate in a range of different sectors but are renowned for their expertise in Road Construction projects with state Government Transport organisations such as TMR, RMS and Vic Roads.
As of a number of project wins in their Queensland business they have identified an urgent requirement for a Project Engineer to join an existing complex project on the Gold Coast. The project is in excess of $100ml and is a complex scope involving Earthworks, Drainage, Structures (Bridges, Overpass), Culverts and Road Resurfacing.
As Project Engineer you will report to the on site Project Manager and responsibility will include: prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects. In addition to this you will perform quality control (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
The project is over 12 months in but as of wet weather delays as at least 2 years to go and with a healthy order book moving into the new year, the role offers long term job security on the Gold Coast.
We are actively looking to speak to Sydney based Civil Engineers who are at a stage in the career where they are looking for a change of pace and would be interested in joining a tried and tested site team in the heart of QLDs Gold Coast!
Selection Criteria:
- Civil Engineering Degree
- 5 Years Post Graduate Experience
- Must have Road Construction experience (TfNSW)
- Team player and able to make key decisions
- Tier 1 or Tier 2 Contracting experience is essential
Interviews are taking place in the month of February with the ideal candidate looking to start around Mid March. Relocation assistance from Sydney will also be considered.
