Leading Hand - Newcastle - 3 month contract 


Seeking a Leading Hand for a commercial fit out and refurbishment contractor who have a project kicking off in Newcastle CBD.

Our client have established a solid reputation for being able to deliver an excellent project to high standards, which has seen them win a good amount of repeat business. 

The role 

With a new $6m commercial refurbishment project about to start in Newcastle we are looking for a Leading Hand to work under a Site Manager on a 7 floor commercial fit out. 

The main focus will be help manage contractors, reviewing  delivery's, workmanship while driving the project forward to achieve agreed program and helping out on the tools now and then.

The role will be on a contract basis for a period of 3 months then it will possibly go permanent at the end  
 
The Person 

• carpenter background preferred who is looking who is capable of supervising and will be position over the next 6 months.
• You'll ideally have a good understanding of fast paced projects however general building projects experience is sufficient 
• Experience on commercial jobs preferred but not essential 
• As the Leading Hand you'll supervise trades occasionally assisting with carpentry work however this is not a "on the tools" role.
