The Company

One of Australia’s largest privately-owned construction companies who have a strong presence up and down the eastern seaboard, turn over in excess of $800M and have a combined workforce of over 400 people that deliver projects within the educational, health and retail sectors.

The Position

The scope of works associated with this project includes the demolition of an existing structure and complete redevelopment of a medium size retail precinct based on the lower north shore valued at $70M

As a leading hand, you will be expected to undertake all site set out and coordinate the day to day activities of sub-contractors and plant and be the Site Managers eyes and ears on site. You will ideally come from a trade qualified background and done your time as a Carpenter with a similar size builder.

As works progress on site more leading hands will join the project and this position will evolve into a General Foreman

Background / Experience

• Carpentry trade background
• Ability to accurately undertake site setout
• Keen eye for detail and quality
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Basic tools
• Valid drivers lic
