Our customer is a privately owned commercial construction company with strong connections in the hospitality, commercial, and industrial sectors. They undertake both new construction and renovation projects. Over the past eight years, they have emerged as one of the promising builders in Sydney on projects valued up to $30m.

Job Description:
Due to a number of significant project wins, they have decided to hire an additional Leading Hand. In this role, you will help oversee the operations on your construction site, ensuring that all tasks are carried out by tradespeople according to the Site Manager programme.

Requirements:

• Trade background as a Carpenter
• More than two years of work experience in the commercial sector
• Strong communication skills
• Outgoing personality
• Aspiration to advance to the role of Site Manager

Responsibilities:
As one of the primary points of contact on site, your main duty is to coordinate the trades and maintain work progress in alignment with the project schedule. Your daily tasks will include:

• Supervising subcontractors and trades on the site
• Conducting site inductions
• Enforcing on-site health and safety protocols
• Upholding a high standard of work quality among the trades
• Interacting with clients as necessary
• Hosting daily site meetings
