HSE Advisor

We have an exciting opportunity for an HSE Advisor to join an established main contractor who operate on a national scale across a variety of sectors including civil infrastructure, mining & resources and oil & gas.
 
The business is well established with over 40 years trading history with long standing relationships across state and federal governments, and the private and public sectors.
 
This is a FIFO opportunity that features family friendly rosters (2:2 or 2:1) and is based in the Pilbara region of WA, working on a large resources project where our client is delivering a wide range of scopes including infrastructure and construction.
 
Duties:
  • Lead the development, monitoring and achievement of the HSE objectives
  • Responsible for project capability in hazard identification and risk control
  • Management of incidents/injuries, incl. reports, agreed recommendations, return to work programs and workers compensation
  • HSE reporting: rolling 12-month lag results and lead indicators (developed and reviewed with senior management)
  • Develop relationships with clients
  • Takes ownership for creating a safe working environment
 
Candidate Criteria:
 
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety highly desirable
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessing or Leadership and Development a plus
  • 5+ years HSE Advisory experience (civil/ construction/ mining/ oil and gas ideal)
  • Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project
  • Generalist HSE skills, including incident investigation (iCAM) and Lead Auditing capability
  • MUST HAVE FULL AUSTRALIAN WORKING RIGHTS
