Job description

Our client are a Tier 2 Rail organisation working on Australia's largest Infrastructure projects. 

They are currently seeking a Finance Manager experienced in Engineering or Construction projects, for an initial 8-12 week contract, with hybrid working.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for but not limited to;
  • Financial reporting, preparation of group budgets and forecasts
  • Month end reporting; reconciliations, balance sheet, cashflow management, P&L
  • Strong tax experience – be able to move the entire tax function in-house (incl tax return) and proven ability to do monthly Tax Effect Accounting as well as FBT, BAS, etc
  • Oversee the payroll, AP & AR function
  • Assist the Project Managers to analyse financial and project information providing support
  • Carryout weekly, monthly, quarterly senior management meetings with financial reports
  • Data analysis to support business growth 
  • Supervision of junior accounts team
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • CPA qualified
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role within an infrastructure or construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel and Coins- but not essential
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy and compliance
