Job description

The Company:
We are currently working in partnership with a commercial builder based in Newcastle and Central coast who are looking for an Estimator to join their team. Over the past 6 years they have grown from strength to strength increasing their staff size from 5 people to 40. Their origins lies in the fast-paced retail market with their average project valued between $1-2m, however over the past 2 years they have developed their client base to pick up larger new build projects valued up to $10m.

The Opportunity 

We are looking to recruit an Estimator to join their team on a full time basis. You will work alongside a team of 2 existing estimators across design and construct as well as hard dollar tenders within the fit out sectors. 
Tenders include state of the art corporate fit outs as well as projects within the education, commercial and aged care sectors

If you are looking to develop your career within Estimating, you will receive first class training working closely with a Senior Estimator that has a proven track record of success.

Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following experience
  • Job costing and programming software experience
  • Able to work and drive profitability on multiple projects.
  • Have experience delivering retail projects, commercial project will also be considered.
  • Have stability on your CV
  • Competent with cost reporting and forecasting
  • Excellent resource management skills
  • Able to work in team environment
  • Able to lead from the front
  • Be well presented and a good communicator to clients and sub-contractors
