A fit out Contractor who have been established for over 20 years and operate in QLD, NSW, VIC and ACT. With diverse clientele across a number of sectors including education, health, age care, local and national Government, retail, commercial, hospitality and leisure. They have multiple projects running consecutively and are continually winning work. About the Role – Estimator
You will join an established team of estimators specifically working on fit out projects, you will be a crucial member of the team working towards the further growth of the company. You will be responsible for leading tender processes – preparing estimates and take-offs, develop accurate SOW, BOQ and cost plans, working with PMs to prepare methodologies and programs, manage subcontractor quotes – negotiate prices and make recommendations.
Skills and Experience
- A completed Construction Management degree
- Experience completing tendering of projects valued $500k - $15m
- Ideally a background within the fit out/refurb sector
- Ideally previous experience in a CA or PM role
- Good communicator – verbal and written
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and remain focussed under pressure
- Leadership qualities – for mentoring junior members of the team
