The Company

Join an Australian owned mid-tier builder that currently employs approx. 150 ppl across offices on the eastern seaboard. The company is made up of multiple divisions focusing on commercial construction. The company is at the forefront of Innovation and technology and bringing over 100 of experience gives clients the confidence they are in good hands.
  
Work in hand includes – D & C clubs/pubs and Independent school  $10M - $30M

You will be joining an established design team under a veteran head of design. The team currently consists of 15 people which includes inhouse drafting.
  
The Position
  
Working closely with internal stakeholders and team members you will coordinate large packages on some high-profile projects which include a high spec residential development, several hospitality and aged care projects whilst assisting with Master Planning across school contracts

Could suit a design manager that has worked for a PM consultant wanting to transfer to a builder.

Salary depending on experience however figures of 160K – 180K can be expected

• Help run design meetings with internal stakeholders and clients
• Value engineer / improving cost savings and resolving buildability issues
• Produce internal reporting to management
• Help internal design team with all matters related to the successful design and delivery of each projects

Key Skills / Desirable Background

• Tertiary qualifications relating to construction (architecture or construction management)
• Experience working with in the commercial sector with reputable architects and builders
• Strong Design Management experience within a construction environment 
• A strong eye for buildability and budget control within the tier one or two market
