With significant capital projects underway—including a hyperscale data centre currently under construction—this team is expanding and looking for an experienced electrical design engineer to work with the General Manager.

The Opportunity
- Take a lead technical role in the design and delivery of new and expansion data centre builds.
- Reporting to the GM to help create and build a new team
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and consultants to deliver concept design, feasibility, and construction-stage support.
- Ensure customer requirements are embedded into engineering solutions, particularly those from hyperscaler and enterprise clients.
- Influence future site acquisitions, design optimisation, and electrical strategy aligned with leading-edge technology.
- Contribute to proposals, tenders, and load balancing models, while advising on redundancy and resiliency.
- Conduct site inspections and support integrated systems testing (IST).
- 8+ years' experience in electrical engineering (data centre or mission-critical, highly regarded).
- Expertise in LV & HV systems, UPS, diesel generators, switchgear, PDUs, STS/ATS systems and power distribution.
- Knowledge of redundancy models (block/distributed), protection schemes, fault modelling, earthing, and system resiliency.
- Strong understanding of relevant codes, technical standards, and compliance in critical environments.
- Experience managing consultants and challenging designs to achieve the best outcomes for cost, performance, and client objectives.
