CGC Recruitment are established experts in providing short term construction and engineering resources to main tier and mid-tier contractors and have again been approached by one of our clients to source an Accounts Payable Officer to start immediately in a short term gap fill role.

The Accounts Payable Officer will provide financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organisation. The role is to complete payments and control expenses by receiving payments, plus processing, verifying and reconciling invoices. Key responsibility will include: 

• Data entry of all contractor & supplier tax invoices and accounts for payment
• Ensure creditor payments are allocated to correct charge and job codes
• Distribute invoices to relevant manager, supervisor or director for authority & follow up to ensure the steady and prompt authorisation of all accounts for payment.
• Ensure all invoices are approved before being paid
• Payment of all contractor and supplier tax invoices
• Filing invoices and payment documents
• Responding to queries and resolving issues

We are looking to speak to experienced Accounts Payable Officers who have preferable worked in a construction environment. Prior experience with Reckon Hosted or a similar online accounting system would be useful, along with standard MS Office experience. It's not a crazy-high-volume role, averaging around 500 invoices per month.
