June Newsletter

Welcome to the June edition of the CGC newsletter! With roughly 3 weeks to go before the end of the quarter, CGC is on the cusp of breaking yet another sales record. This is a clear indication that there is money being spent to hire good people. The outlook for the second half of the year is looking very positive. In this month’s newsletter, our market insight comes from David Thompson in the MEP sector, while Nic Maplestone gives us a rundown of the happenings in CGC.

David Thompson, Consultant, MEP

With the 2014/2015 financial year drawing to a close we are happy to report the demand for MEP Services is still very high. NSW and in particularly Sydney is the stand out State where there is a high demand for quality candidates in the consultancy, and building services contractors for both construction and service & maintenance departments.

The Sydney market has been very busy coping with the demand for high rise residential and mixed use developments. Interstate the market has kept busy with a number of new healthcare facilities, all worth over a billion dollars – NRAH (SA), SCUH (QLD), VCCC (VIC) and the Perth Children’s hospital.

Feedback from our clients is that the market is going to continue to be very busy next financial year. There is a large volume of projects that are close to being approved and once awarded we expect to see a further demand for both design and project delivery candidates within the MEP space.

CGC Recruitment currently has multiple vacancies for Mechanical Project Managers and Site Managers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers (all levels), Mechanical and Electrical Revit Drafters, Account Managers and Service Technicians.

If you’re experienced or know anyone who is looking for these positions, please contact David Thompson on 0400 516 014.
