OCTOBER 2013 NEWSLETTER

2013-10-16 18:00:00 +1100 by Lawrence Allum

As the new government settles into Kirribilli House we are beginning to see an increased level of confidence across the construction and engineering sector. Last month’s newsletter highlighted where the money was due to be spent but we are now seeing an increase in optimism and hiring intentions across the board.

In addition to the $20bn already committed to new infrastructure projects, the new government is exploring the development of a national construction program to be overseen by Infrastructure Australia. The idea is that more construction work in the pipeline will reinforce the economy if growth slows in the next few years. This will be funded by giving private investors government guarantees to cut their risk.

Positive and innovative ideas indeed from Joe Hockey, and ones that could really drive the construction and engineering sector in the right direction.
As a business we are seeing an increased demand for candidates with a high level of competency in REVIT MEP, HVAC Engineers and all candidates with RMS experience.
If you are an experienced candidate in any of the above disciplines then please contact one of our specialist consultants ASAP!

CGC News

After a strong first quarter the team at CGC celebrated with a trip to the Wentworth Dogs. Whilst the #3 dog in race 4 was the hot tip (it wasn’t…) the team still had a great night out. See a team photo below.

As you may have seen in our LinkedIn updates the following members of the team took part in the Sydney Bridge run and with all participants making a donation to raise $300 for The Sisters of Charity Outreach.
