Our client:
Our client is renowned for their work within the Commercial Hospitality sector for fit outs & custom-made catering supplies. A one stop shop for all your Hospitality needs!
They are currently on the lookout for an experienced Sheet Metal trade Worker to join their hard working and enthusiastic team.  

The Role:
  • Forming cut metal into product by shaping and using folding and bending machines, presses, rollers, and hammers
  • Ability to Interpret and read blueprints /drawings, to identify materials and equipment needed for each project or job
  • Fitting and assembly components into final products
  • Welding, soldering, riveting, brazing, and joining tasks as necessary
  • Cutting metal stock using hand and power shears, drills, guillotines per guidelines
  • Polishing, filing, sanding, and cleaning finished products
  • Selecting metal stocks, for example galvanized iron, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, mild steel, etc.
  • Checking metal stocks against specifications required, including checking sizes, gauges, and other dimensions
  • Repair damaged sheet metal products and/or components
  • Marking out metal stocks with reference points and lines as required, using measuring instruments and templates as needed
  • Assist in fabrication, on-site assembly and installation, etc. of sheet metal products
  • Any other duties of sheet metal related work as reasonably required.
Skills & Experience:
  • Min 4 years’ experience as a sheet metal worker
  • Experience working in the hospitality industry – preferable
  • Experience making hot food bars, stainless steel benches, walk in fridge’s etc
  • Welding experience – Highly desirable
  • Trades certificate – Desirable
  • Ability to work under pressure and have great attention to detail
  • Punctual, reliable and motivated
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team and on their own
  • A good understanding to read blueprints, drawings
  • Must be able to use of necessary tools and equipment
  • Must be willing to undertake drug and alcohol screening & Police check
  • 2 x work references from previous employers
