The Company

This builder has been operating out of its Shire based office for the past 10 years and have established themselves as preferred builder with several blue-chip clients. They have grown year on year since their inception with an annual turnover reaching $15m last year and they are in a strong financial position. With a full orderbook and an increase in project volumes a new position of Senior Site Manager has been identified.
  
They operate in a range of sectors including aged care, education and hospitality with their niche being refurbishments under $500K, working in live environments that requires direct contact with the client and end users.  

The Position – Senior Site Manager

The position itself is a new role that has been created in order to take pressure off the Managing Director who is the “go to” point of contact for problems on site. The main responsibility of the role is to take over the delivery side of the business. Mentoring and developing 5 Foreman, you will work closely with them to assist in their programming, quality, safety, and general building skills to ensure a quality project and client satisfaction.  
  
Duties
  • Taking control of construction programmes and making sure they are on time.
  • Design / Buildability coordination.
  • Ensuring all WHS requirements are met on site – Conduct toolbox talks, WHS meetings etc (safety specific safety systems and compliance)
  • Manage and mentor other members of staff
  • Problem solve any day to day issues that occur on site
To be successful for this role you will need:
  • Carpentry background
  • Over 15 years’ experience working within construction
  • Looking to make that step up middle management role
  • Experience working on a range of projects & working on multiple projects at the same time
  • Be a natural leader
  • Be well presented and excellent communication skills
