CGC Recruitment have been engaged by a National specialist Contractor who have recently been awarded a raft of challenging projects including the largest Deconstruction program in the Southern Hemisphere.
 
This Australian owned contractor are market leaders within their space and offer bespoke Front-End Engineering and Construction solutions to a wide range of clients making them a key part of the current Construction boom across Australia. They have projects ranging focusing on Deconstruction/Demolition, Detailed Excavation, Asbestos & Hazardous Waste Remediation and Site Preparation Works.
 
Due to a major ramp up in projects they have identified the need for a Site Based Safety Adviser to join the business on a full-time basis and provide site base Safety Support to one of their major decommissioning projects out in the regional NT. 
 
Reporting to the Safety Manager you will be responsible work health and safety management plans, provide proactive safety advice to site management and engineering staff. The role is very much field based with a high focus to reviewing SWMS and JSA's so we are looking to speak with dynamic safety professionals who prefer to be out with the crews on site and not pushing paper behind a desk.
 
Selection Criteria: 
 
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Safety Adviser role 
- Must possess demonstrated experience in Civil Construction
- Open and experienced working in a remote environment
- Tier 1 Contracting experience is preferred
- Clear confident communicator 
 
The role is a long-term permanent role involved with one of the largest deconstruction projects in the Southern hemisphere, with the total package in the range of $170k.
