Role Overview:
 
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Residential Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of residential construction projects. The successful candidate will manage all on-site activities, ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest quality standards, on time, and within budget.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Oversee and manage all on-site activities of residential construction projects, from start to finish.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, and suppliers, ensuring smooth execution of work.
  • Ensure all construction is carried out according to plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed on time.
  • Manage site safety, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, addressing any issues or defects promptly.
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and resolve any construction problems that arise on-site.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager, architects, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates, and inventory management.
  • Manage and forecast material and equipment requirements, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment, motivating the team to meet and exceed project goals.
 
Key Requirements:
 
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally in residential construction projects (e.g., single-family homes, townhouses, or apartments).
  • Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Building, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of residential building processes, construction techniques, and local building codes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead on-site teams and contractors effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and site activities, balancing quality, time, and budget.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Solid understanding of WHS (Work Health and Safety) regulations and the ability to enforce safe work practices.
  • Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with construction management software and site reporting tools.
  • Current driver’s license and White Card required.
