Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all on-site activities of residential construction projects, from start to finish.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, and suppliers, ensuring smooth execution of work.
- Ensure all construction is carried out according to plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed on time.
- Manage site safety, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections, addressing any issues or defects promptly.
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and resolve any construction problems that arise on-site.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, architects, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates, and inventory management.
- Manage and forecast material and equipment requirements, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment, motivating the team to meet and exceed project goals.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally in residential construction projects (e.g., single-family homes, townhouses, or apartments).
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Building, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of residential building processes, construction techniques, and local building codes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead on-site teams and contractors effectively.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and site activities, balancing quality, time, and budget.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
- Solid understanding of WHS (Work Health and Safety) regulations and the ability to enforce safe work practices.
- Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience with construction management software and site reporting tools.
- Current driver’s license and White Card required.
