A new opportunity to join a leading organisation and work within their Transport team on major rail projects across Melbourne.

Some high profile and very impactful projects including highest profile projects within Victoria including the Level Crossing Removal Program, Metro Tunnel project, city wide strategy development and advisory services, the evolution to Movement and Place Planning, enhancements at Melbourne Airport and have also recently been appointed as Technical Advisor for Major Road Projects Victoria.

In this role you will:

• Provide rail modelling advice and services to drive projects forward and deliver upon the expectations of the client
• Have experience in at least one of the software packages relevant to the Melbourne market such as RailSys/Opentrack/Attune/GIRO/TTG or others
• Be familiar with current industry standards 
• Prepare and contribute to technical reports and other project outputs
• Be a proactive, collaborative worker that takes initiatives and works well in a team environment
• Provide mentoring, guidance and technical advice to junior staff to upskill and assist in their professional development
• Be open to work on interstate / international projects with the possibility of travel, as well as within local project offices

Candidate Specification
To be successful in this position you will have:

• A degree in Engineering, Science or similar subject
• Previous professional experience in rail modelling
• Experience in contributing to and delivering rail modelling inputs to projects using software incl RailSys/Opentrack/Attune/GIRO/TTG
• Basic technical knowledge of railway systems being modelled
• Excellent report writing and other written and numerical presentation skills
• An ability to apply sound analytical and numeric skills to project work
• Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation across traffic and transport planning
