The Company
  
Our client is a state-wide Government organisation within the Transport sector who operate in regional NSW. They work supporting road maintenance and construction projects in the area. 

Primary purpose of the role

The Project Manager is responsible for the development, management and implementation of road, bridge
and/or traffic infrastructure or maintenance projects in order to achieve Transport and Government road
safety, asset management and network efficiency objectives.

This is a 12 month role with view of a 6 month extension or permanent opportunity. 
You will be working on civil road safety upgrades in the Riviera area.
These include, intersection upgrades, asphalting, culverts, safety barriers and line marking.
The role will be office and field work developing projects as well as overseeing and managing delivery contractors.

Ute will be provided for any field work. 

Key accountabilities
  • Provide efficient and effective project and contract management services by ensuring that the nominated road, bridge or traffic infrastructure and/or maintenance projects are developed and delivered to specified, time, cost, quality and scope requirements and to meet Government and Transport objectives.
  • Lead the investigation, design, estimating and procurement processes for nominated project to deliver required client objectives.
Key challenges
  • Continuously improving workplace health and safety with the aim of achieving zero harm.
  • Demonstrating the efficiency of delivery through maintaining lean and efficient organisational arrangements and achieving efficiency targets.
  • Embedding and leading a customer service culture across Regional Bridge Maintenance that focuses on effective engagement with customers at all stages in the project lifecycle and ensuring that projects and programs are delivered in a manner that enhances Transport’s reputation.
