CGC Recruitment are established experts in providing short term construction and engineering resources to main tier and mid-tier contractors and have again been approached by one of our clients to source a Civil Project Engineer to assist in the delivery of an existing project until the end of the year.

You will report in into the Project Manager on site you will be responsible for developing ITPs, putting schedules together and responsible for all on site QA. Scope of works includes culvert replacements, sub-grade treatment, pavement rehabilitation and road sealing. The project is part of a program of works ($230ml) to upgrade a series of Roads in remote areas of far North QLD and work is expected to go on until the end of the year or the beginning of the wet season.

The project has a camp style set up with travel, accommodation and meals being provided by the client on site. There is also some flexibility in the roster with the ideal being 3/2 but we are also open to engineers working on 15/6 or 10/4 FIFO basis. The role is a contract position for a short term basis only so will be suited to Engineers in between major projects or who are set up as ABN sole Traders looking for there next contract.

To be considered for the role you must posses the following criteria: 

- Minimum 5 years post graduate experience

- Must posses Road Construction experience for a Civil Contractor  

- Self Motivated and able to make decisions independently

- Willing to work in remote location
