About the company

Our client is a state-wide Government agency within the Transport sector who operate across NSW. They work supporting road maintenance and construction projects.

Primary purpose of the role
The role is responsible for contributing to the development, implementation and management of road, utilities and cycleway related projects in order to meet the business unit objectives.

This is a 6 month contract role working x2 intersection upgrades involving utility relocation, pavements, traffic signals, storm water and a cycle lane.
Experience across these scopes of work and any traffic management experience would be advantageous. 

You will be overseeing the tier 2 delivery contractor delivering the works whilst being across;
  • QA/QC
  • RFI's
  • Releasing hold points
  • Monthly reporting
  • Variations
  • Safety - raising hazards
  • Traffic management
The role is highly likely to extended after 6 months or you will be encouraged to apply for the role on a permanent basis. 

The projects are based in the Randwick/Pagewood area where you will be based in site offices.

Key accountabilities
  • Contribute to the oversight of nominated projects by providing project management assistance for specific projects to enable projects to be completed on time and within scope objectives.
  • Support the control, administration and delivery of contracts and assist the Principal’s Representative on selected contracts to ensure the effective delivery of contract works
  • Develop project briefs for Professional Service providers and internal service units to assist with the management of design and investigation process and to support quality design.
  • Support the implementation of Agency procedures, guidelines, processes and practices to maintain a high level of WH&S, Industrial Relations, environmental management and quality on projects/contracts.
  • Provide timely and accurate project reports and briefing papers for management, develop and maintain quality records, and undertake research to contribute to the effective management of projects.
