CGC Recruitment are established experts in providing short term construction and engineering resources to main tier and mid-tier contractors and have been approached by a new clients to source a ambitious Project Engineer to work on a project basis for a 6-9 month period on a major resources project in Central QLD.

The project is a D&C project and the role will involve working collaboratively with the client and design JV to engineering, procure and deliver works.  As Project Engineer you will have direct guidance from the Senior Engineer and will be responsible for establishing site set up, developing ITPs, managing internal crews as well as a couple of specialist sub contractors to deliver works on site and will also involved mentoring Site Engineer and graduates. Scope of works includes demolition of existing structures, marine piling, concrete works, structural installation and M&E works. 

The role will be based in Brisbane for the next few months and then will fly out to site on a 21/7 FIFO roster with meals, accommodation and travel being provided bu the client. The Construction stage is set to finish in October of next year so the client is open to candidate who are both keen on a full time role in the business or would like to work as a day rate contractor (PAYG or ABN) for the duration of the project.
