The Role
As an experienced project accountant, you will be reporting into the Financial Controller / Project Manager. The role requires a highly organised candidate who is able to work in a project based environment and work towards tight deadlines.

The Role
As an experienced project accountant, you will be reporting into the Financial Controller / Project Manager. The role requires a highly organised candidate who is able to work in a project based environment and work towards tight deadlines.
Your roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the establishment of correct cost code structures, cost controls and reporting
- Work with the Project teams tvo ensure the accuracy of project forecasts
- Ensure internal controls and procedures are maintained and monitored with
- Assist the projects managers as required for collating costs of variation works
- Performing reconciliation of client variations, submission of the claims for the works, and raising tax invoices following claim certification.
- Work with the Project Managers to ensure Project securities (Bank Guarantees, Insurance Bonds, cash retentions) and Debtors are collected
- Ad-hoc accounting tasks as required by the Financial Controller/Project Manager
- Min 5 year’s experience post tertiary qualifications
- Willing to drive to project sites within Sydney – Current driver’s license
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance is essential
- CPA / CA qualification recommended but not essential
- Previous experience working in a construction environment / construction related ERP Systems – (Cheops)
- Demonstrated knowledge of cost to complete
