The company
  
The client is an industry leading multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy with a strong reputation for premium Building services design work across multiple market sectors in Australia. They have an impressive presence and reputation in the Sydney market and wish to replicate this in Melbourne.

This consultancy has appointed a number of senior leaders in Melbourne with a strong local presence, to assist with building a local project pipeline in Melbourne. The client is now looking to appoint Discipline Leaders across Mechanical, Electrical, Fire and Hydraulic services who are capable of building a team and growing the presence of the business locally.

They are involved in a broad range of projects mostly within the traditional areas of; commercial, residential and healthcare as well as other new exciting emerging sectors such a Data Centres.

The role

Now, with a long standing and strong foothold in Sydney and due to the aforementioned growth, our client is looking for an Electrical Discipline Leader to kick-start, grow and manage a new electrical team in Melbourne. Therefore, our client currently requires an experienced Senior > Associate Electrical Engineer with sound knowledge of the Melbourne market to join their management team.

The ideal person will have already managed a team of engineers, either minimally in a project environment or ideally within a discipline leading role.

The role will look after existing national clients whilst developing new clients in Victoria. You will have the luxury and full financial backing to build a team of highly capable engineers around you to ensure the success of the business in the local region.
  
The role reports into the Office Lead but will operate with a large degree of autonomy.
  
The requirements
  • 8+ years experience within Melbourne's building services market
  • *A local Melbourne presence and experience is essential*
  • Strong knowledge of the Melbourne market
  • Well-developed client facing skills
