Job description
CGC have partnered with a long standing client who are a Major Tier 2 Civil Contractor who are involved in one of Australia's most exciting Mining projects in the last 10 years. Due to project workload they have identified an immediate requirement for a Maintenance Planner to join the business on an initial contract basis.
The role will be responsible to proactively forecast and schedule preventative maintenance tasks relating to all client assets, across all entities as required. In addition, the role will procure goods & services on behalf of the workshop from contracted suppliers, whilst ensuring that all purchases meet agreed specifications, pricing, and quality.
Responsibilities:
▪ Ensure effective and efficient use of the ERP system to ensure all maintenance plans are
scheduled and completed in a timely manner.
▪ Ensure all maintenance activities are scheduled based on daily review of utilisation, oil
analysis reports and all defects.
▪ Update and communicate any changes to the schedule based on plant movements, disposals
and other variables.
▪ Manage open work orders and report on performance against monthly targets.
▪ Manage procurement of good & services for the project.
▪ Assist in resolving Accounts Payable invoice discrepancies and variances.
▪ Work closely with the workshop team on costing changes to the service, repairs, and overall
maintenance.
▪ Regularly review operations to identify areas of improvement and opportunity to increase
profit margin.
Selection Criteria:
▪ Ability to interpret the parts manuals, and operations and maintenance manuals.
▪ Sound understanding of sourcing products and financial implications.
▪ Proven organisational skills, practices and planning ability.
▪ Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities.
▪ Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
▪ Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications and ERP
systems.
▪ Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to
lead, motivate and influence others.
