Up to $200,000 + superannuation & short-term incentives
Our client is an award-winning residential builder with a backing of a group that has generated over $45billion in annual revenue and is on a trajectory to being one of the largest residential builders in the whole of Australia.
The focus is to work on providing residential homes for all levels of socioeconomic backgrounds, also from 1st time buyers, up to the higher echelon of custom homes.
The role:
A senior leadership role, you will be tasked with driving forward the business design strategy. The role will focus across the core business display offering, maintenance of the product master templates, custom home design and diversification into medium density design.
It is vital that the Head of Product Design is a strong designer with a strong understanding of trends, but also has commercial awareness to counterbalance to achieve the best possible commercial outcome.
This role is uniquely positioned because it offers the opportunity for someone to work within an established business with substantial financial backing, whilst presenting the scope to have a real impact and support change in an exciting period of growth.
The ideal candidate will have a Senior Design (or related) background with experience within residential build.
You will be managing a team of Design Managers, Drafting & BIM Managers, so it is vital that you have experience of running a team, as well as balancing the needs of internal & external stakeholders.

- Relevant tertiary qualification with minimum of 10 years’ experience in design within residential build
- Expert knowledge of residential construction process
- An expert designer with a well-rounded understanding of trends
- A track record of managing & leading design/drafting teams within residential build
- Commercial astuteness to assist with delivering positive commercial outcomes for the business through the leadership of the design team
