Job description

A specialist provider of outsourced maintenance services to the education, commercial and hospitality sectors, are looking for a facilities officer / maintenance supervisor to work as part of their team at a prestigious private school.

The role takes principle responsibility for issuing work orders and allocating jobs to the maintenance technicians on site. Equally you will be responsibility for managing contractors on site, ensuring that works are carried out within KPI) and SLA's. 

Additional duties:
  • Ensure that essential maintenance requirements of the Building Regulations are carried out in accordance with the law.
    Coordinate contractors and vendors supplying construction, maintenance, utilities, grounds and cleaning services, ensuring that all necessary work is undertaken and best suits the needs of the site and at all times ensuring value is obtained.
  • To be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all premises-related mechanical, electrical, heating services and other plant.
  • To take appropriate action to ensure and monitor proper safe levels of lighting, heating and ventilation; to maintain and monitor fuel efficiency records.
  • To create and maintain a Risk Assessment Register relating to site maintenance and health and safety aspects of the school.
To be successful in this opportunity you will have experience within running FM services in a school environment. Either in a maintenance supervisor, or facilities coordinator role. hard services experience is a must, and whilst a trade background would be highly advantageous it is not a prerequisite for success.
