Job Title: Estimator (Mechanical/Electrical) - Water Infrastructure Project
Location: Sydney CBD
Duration: 6-8 weeks
Daily Rates: Negotiable
About Us: Our client is a leading principle contractor specializing in delivering high-profile infrastructure projects. Currently, they are seeking an experienced Estimator with mechanical or electrical background to join their team for an upcoming water infrastructure project based in Sydney CBD.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze project requirements and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for tender submission.
  • Evaluate project risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Prepare detailed take-offs and material quantities for mechanical or electrical components of the project.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
  • Develop and present comprehensive cost estimates and proposals to management for review.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an Estimator, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
