This Mid Tier Civil Contractor focus on the delivery of complex multidisciplinary civil infrastructure projects within Roads, Rail and Energy sectors. They are a family owned QLD Civil Contractor and are growing rapidly with recent project wins both as a principal contractor and specialist subcontractor packages as part of some of QLDs most iconic Infrastructure projects. 

Due to internal growth they have currently identified the need for an Estimating Manager to join the business on a full time basis and lead a small team of pre-contracts professionals. The position will have x4 direct reports consisting of 2 Estimators, a tender coordinator and marketing administrator. You be responsible for the management of the tender process for a variety of projects across the disciplines including road-works, bridge, earth-works and sub-division. This will involve the reparation of first principles cost estimates and estimating report using Expert, Dealing with sub-contractors and suppliers and clarifying their quotations regarding compliance with specifications and relevant standards and preparing post submission responses. The role is working for a smaller tier contractor and will include pricing work from anything ranging from $500k up to $5ml.

- Minimum 5 years experience in an Estimating role 

- Must posses a previous Engineering/Construction Delivery background 

- Proficient in Expert Estimation

- Must posses experience working for a smaller tier contractor on projects up to $5ml 

- Leadership and strong communication skills

The role is a full position based close to Brisbane City and will include an excellent salary package, job security and also a company vehicle as site visits are expected.
