We are looking for an experienced Environmental Senior Grants Officer to join our client, a NSW State government agency, on a contractual basis.

Primary purpose of the role
This position sits with the Net Zero Land team - a team working to reduce emissions from agriculture and increase sequestration in vegetation and soils, including in coastal and marine zones.

- Pay Rate: $65 p/h + Super
- Located in Parramatta, currently WFH

Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for establishing a new grants process. This will include the development of key documents such as governance documents, eligibility guidelines, investment principles, project plans, budgets and reporting.
- Delivery of the first round of grants, using SmartyGrants software.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure the design of the grants program meet the priorities across the team.
- This position may have up to 3 direct reports. This position reports to the Manager, Net Zero Land.
Experience & Skills Required
- MUST have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Strong procurement and grants management experience
- Previous government experience is highly desirable
- Environmental experience, but it is not essential for this role.
